Jim Waters, Commander, Navy Recruiting Command, listens to a briefing during the inaugural Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) kaizen event at Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) headquarters. Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning change for the better or continuous improvement. It is a structured approach focused on identifying and eliminating roadblocks that hinder a process.
