Senior recruiting leaders from across the U.S. Armed Forces gathered at Naval Air Station Pensacola Aug. 26-27 for the 2026 Joint Recruiting Commanders’ Conference, an annual forum focused on strengthening military recruiting and identifying opportunities for collaboration across the services.

Navy Recruiting Reserve Command held a change of command ceremony, May 1, 2026, at Naval Reserve Center Memphis, marking the transition of leadership from Capt. Todd Christopher Winn to Capt. James Russell Prouty.

MILLINGTON, Tenn. — The Navy Reserve has introduced expanded bonus opportunities for eligible enlisted Sailors and officers as part of its fiscal year 26/27 Recruiting and Retention Incentive Program, reinforcing its commitment to attracting highly qualified talent and retaining the experienced leaders needed to support the Fleet.

The U.S. Navy exceeded its Fiscal Year 2026 active-duty enlisted recruiting goal, shipping more than 45,112 new Sailors to Recruit Training Command and sustaining the recruiting momentum built over the past several years.

Master Chief Petty Officer Kevin D. Kikawa was born in San Diego, California, and graduated from Truckee High School in 1998. He entered the United States Navy on May 23, 2000.

NCCM Sara L. Drake is a native of Indiana, Pennsylvania, and a 1997 graduate of Penns Manor High School. She enlisted in the United States Navy during her senior year, reporting to Recruit Training Command on November 4, 1997.
