NRL Demonstrates Autonomous Sonar Technology at Vieques Underwater Munitions Site

U.S. Naval Research Laboratory scientists successfully completed its first live-site demonstration of an autonomous underwater vehicle-based sonar system designed to locate unexploded ordnance, or UXO, at a Navy munitions response site near Vieques, Puerto Rico.
